Grand Marshal

Following his graduation from the USCG Academy in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Captain Fuller reported for duty as a Deck Watch Officer aboard USCGC BUTTONWOOD, homeported in San Francisco, California. In 1995, he served as a Marine Inspector at Marine Safety Office Puget Sound in Seattle, Washington. He was then assigned to Naval Flight Training in Pensacola, Florida and Corpus Christi, Texas for basic and advanced fixed wing training and received his wings of gold in December 1998.  After flight training, Captain Fuller reported to Air Station Miami where he served as an HU25 Guardian fixed wing pilot. While there, he engaged in counter-narcotics and air-interdiction deployments throughout the Caribbean. He reported to Air Station Barbers Point, Hawaii in 2001 and transitioned to the HH65 Dolphin helicopter. In 2003, Captain Fuller deployed as the aviation detachment with USCGC BOUTWELL in the Northern Arabian Gulf during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. During this deployment, he assisted in enforcing U.N. sanctions and flew 25 combat support missions into Iraq.
